Pflugerville Podiatrist
If you’re like most people, you don’t give a lot of thought to your feet during the course of your normal routine. You may think about foot comfort when you purchase a new pair of shoes, and perhaps you enjoy the occasional pedicure simply because these procedures feel so good, but your feet are probably an afterthought most of the time. However, that changes for most people when foot discomfort and/or pain becomes too great to ignore — this is when the services of a skilled podiatrist are invaluable. If you’re in the Austin area, you can count on Dr. Jeffrey W. LaMour to have all your foot needs covered.
With 20 years of podiatry experience to bring to the table, Dr. LaMour has expertise in foot issues of every type and with patients of every age group. To better serve as many Austin residents as possible, Dr. LaMour has two state-of-the-art foot care facilities staffed by hand-picked podiatry professionals who perform to his very high standards. The two locations of Family Foot and Ankle are:
- 8015 Shoal Creek Blvd Suite 119, Austin, TX 78757
- 200 N Heatherwilde Blvd, Pflugerville, TX 78660
About Dr. Jeffrey LaMour
Born and raised in the American Midwest, Dr. LaMour completed his undergraduate studies at Illinois State University. From there, he went on to study podiatry at Chicago’s William School of Podiatric Medicine. He moved to Houston for his two-year residency at the world-renowned Houston Podiatric Foundation, where he fell in love with the Lone Star State and decided to devote his life to serving the podiatry needs of the citizens of Texas. He is certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and holds a fellowship in the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the Texas Podiatric Medical Association, and the American Podiatric Medical Association.
Dr. LaMour’s Approach
Dr. LaMour believes strongly in taking a measured, conservative approach to foot and ankle issues instead of automatically turning to surgical options. However, he is not averse to surgery when the situation warrants after other avenues have been explored. He has is affiliated with Oakwood Surgery Center, St. David’s Surgical Specialty Hospital, and Cedar Park Surgery Center and is well qualified to perform any necessary surgical procedures.
Dr. LaMour also teaches podiatric surgery at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. When he’s not busy helping students become skilled podiatric surgeons and providing patients with the best possible foot and ankle care, Dr. LaMour can be found enjoying life with his wife and children. He is both an avid outdoor enthusiast and is heavily involved in community activities.
Our Podiatry Services
Both of the Family Foot and Ankle locations provide a complete menu of podiatric services, including the following:
Diabetic foot care — due to circulation issues, diabetic patients have special podiatric needs, and Dr. LaMour and his staff have the experience and skill to meet these needs.
Toenail Fungus — many people wrongly believe that they have no choice but to just live with toenail fungus. Dr. LaMour is one of the few podiatrists in the area who’s certified to use the highly effective PinPointe® laser treatment to treat toenail fungus.
Achilles Tendonitis — this common condition affects physically active patients of all ages, and Dr. LaMour has substantial experience with the best treatment procedures.
Bunions — Bunions are another common foot complaint Dr. LaMour has significant experience with handling.
Ingrown Toenails — without the right kind of medical attention, ingrown toenails can quickly escalate into serious infections, so don’t hesitate to schedule an appointment with Family Foot and Ankle if you’re suffering from this.
Plantar Warts — many people try to treat Plantar warts with over-the-counter medication, but this is ineffective. Dr. LaMour uses prescription-strength medication designed to do the job.
Custom Orthotics — this describes customized foot care and treatment plans designed to meet the individual needs of the patient. Dr. LaMour knows one-size-fits-all treatments.
Please don’t hesitate to contact either of our offices to schedule an appointment at our Austin or Pflugerville location if you’re seeking expert, compassionate care for foot and ankle issues.
